Timothy M. Shannon, D.D.S., M.S.

DrShannonA native of Cromwell, Oklahoma, Dr. Shannon graduated from Butner High School in 1987 as valedictorian. After serving one year of active duty training in the U.S. Naval Reserves, Dr. Shannon furthered his education at the University of Oklahoma with pre-dental and business studies. Dr. Shannon was accepted into the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1992 where he later graduated with distinction in 1996. Upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Shannon was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Society and received the following awards:

  • Michael Louis Backowske Award in Anatomical Sciences
  • Florene C. Kelley Award in Microbiology
  • Restorative Dentistry Award for Excellence in the Fields of Restorative Dentistry, Removable Prosthodontics, and Fixed Prosthodontics
  • International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award for Pre-doctoral Achievement.  Dr. Shannon went on to complete his orthodontic training at the University of Oklahoma in 1998 where he received his certificate of specialty in orthodontics and a Master’s of Science degree. After graduation, Dr. Shannon returned to Norman where he began his fellowship with Dr. C. Dow Miller and also served as a part-time orthodontic instructor at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry undergraduate Pediatric Clinic.

Dr. Shannon received his board certification in 2006 from the American Board of Orthodontics. Only 1 in 3 orthodontists in the state achieve this distinction. He was also inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Honorary Dental Academy and voted the “Best Dentist/Orthodontist” in Norman on multiple occasions.

To keep abreast of the latest developments in orthodontic care, Dr. Shannon attends continuing education courses on a regular basis, works with orthodontic suppliers in developing new products and speaks both locally and nationally on innovative orthodontic mechanics.

Dr. Shannon is past president of the Cleveland County and Central District branches of the Oklahoma Dental Association. He has also served as the Chairman of the Council on Dental Education and Director of Children’s Dental Health month for the state of Oklahoma.

In 2010, Dr. Shannon accepted a position as a part-time clinical instructor for the Graduate Orthodontic program at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.

In 2014, Dr. Shannon gave the commencement speech for the Butner High School graduating class. In 2015, he gave the commencement speech for the University of Oklahoma Graduate Orthodontics program.

Dr. Shannon and his wife, Tisha, live in south Norman with their four children, Berkley, Paisley, Landry and Emery. Their hobbies include biking, scuba diving, golf, enjoying the company of good friends, following OU athletics and time with his family. Dr. Shannon and his family are members of Journey Covenant Church in Norman.

Mark J. Revels, D.D.S.

DrRevelsA native of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Dr. Revels graduated from Ponca City Senior High School in 1992. After high school, Dr. Revels furthered his education at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with distinction in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in health and sports science and a minor in zoology. He was accepted into the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1997 and later that year joined the U.S. Navy dental officer program. In 2001, Dr. Revels received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was awarded the AAO award for excellence in orthodontic studies.

After graduation, Dr. Revels completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois. In 2002, he was transferred to the Naval Air Station in San Diego where he was assigned to the U.S.S. Constellation CV-64. Dr. Revels deployed overseas for eight months on the aircraft carrier and was in the Persian Gulf when the war with Iraq began. He returned home in June of 2003 and achieved the following awards during his time of service:

  • Naval Achievement Medal for outstanding service 2003
  • Surface Warfare Qualification 2003
  • Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal 2002–2003
  • Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal 2002–2003

After completing his time with the Navy, Dr. Revels began his orthodontic training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In 2006, he received his Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics from UMKC. After graduation, Dr. Revels returned to Norman where he joined the practice of Orthodontics Exclusively.

Dr. Revels received his board certification in 2006 from the American Board of Orthodontics in which only 1 in 3 orthodontists achieve this distinction.

Dr. Revels and his wife, Stacy, live in Norman, Oklahoma with their two sons, Blaine and Blake. Dr. Stacy Revels is also a general dentist and maintains a private practice in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Their hobbies include jogging, travel, scuba diving, water sports and following OU & OSU athletics. Dr. Revels and his family are members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Oklahoma City.

Gaby Restuccia, DDS, MS

DrRestuccialogoDr. Gabriela Restuccia is originally from Venezuela. After graduating from High School in Caracas she came to Norman- OK for the first time and enrolled for a year at the Center for English as a Second Language at OU to study English. She went back home and attended the Central University of Venezuela School of Dentistry. Since her Freshman year if Dental School she discovered her passion for teaching and became a Teaching Assistant for three years with the Department of Human Anatomy. 

During her studies she received different awards:
-For five consecutive years Dr. Restuccia obtained the first place in the Award of Academic Excellence having the best GPA of the Dental School. 
-“Oscar Beaujon” Award for academic excellence in the Department of Human Anatomy.
-Central University of Venezuela Alumni Association Award for academic excellence.

She graduated from Dental School in 2011 with “Magna Cum Laude” honors. After graduation she became a Professor in the Department of Human Anatomy and worked in Private Practice as a general dentists for two years.
In 2013 she came back to Oklahoma to start her residency in Orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma-School of Dentistry where Dr. Shannon was one of her part-time instructors. The Department of Orthodontics only accepts one international student every three years.
During her time in residency she took all the National Board Dental Examinations, and the written examination with the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Restuccia received her certificate of specialty in Orthodontics and a Master’s of Science degree in May of 2006. 
She is very excited to have joined Dr. Shannon and Dr. Revels at Orthodontics Exclusively, and has also accepted a position as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma.

-Junior League of Norman.

She lives in Norman, OK with her sister Anna. Dr. Restuccia enjoys during voluntary work on Sundays at St. Joseph Catholic Church where she is a Catechist, as well as volunteer work throughout Norman with the Junior League of Norman. She loves the fall, a cup of Venezuelan coffee, and a good book!
